It's Sew Easy 1003 - Distinctive Style

Angela Wolf plays with polar type fleece in the first segment of this episode. You'll enjoy seeing her show each step for making this simple yet chic jacket style.

It’s really hard to imagine what it was like before fleece became an option for cozy garments and soft un-sewn blankets. I can't count the number of times I've been in line at the fabric store while someone next to me purchased fleece for the "tie style" fleece blankets. I wrote about fleece in my very first Let's Go Sew blog. Mill Yardage™ LLC is my preferred source for quality fleece. The company name has changed over the years but they still manufacture the same fleece you find in high quality ready to wear items. You can CLICK HERE to read the archived post. You'll also find a FREE Fleece Fabric Tip sheet at the end of the post.

In the next segment Angela whips up a super quick fringed zipper bag. Wool felt or faux suede would be ideal for this trendy accessory.

Last but not least is a lesson presented by pattern designer Kay Whitt of Serendipity Studio. WOW, is the first word that comes to mind when you peruse Kay's pattern line. Dresses, bags, and tunic tops with mixed prints and hand embroidered embellishments make her line of patterns fresh, fun, and a shining example of what it's like to create one of a kind clothing and accessories to express your individuality and stand out in a crowd.

I enjoyed meeting Kay when we taped our segments on the same day at the It's Sew Easy TV studio.

Hi Jennifer! The pattern Angela used for this show is Vogue 8430. Here is the link form the Vogue pattern site: https://voguepatterns.mccall.com/v8430
I would try to snatch it up as soon as possible so you don't run the risk of seeing it discontinued. Also, if you want to watch this show again it is available on youtube:

Hope this helps, happy stitching!
