This week you'll see lot of ruffles made with an ordinary technique called gathering. Recently I learned that darts came into play in the 1960's as a way to control fullness that was common in the 1950's.
Certainly fashion changes with the decades but it's amazing how many common principles just get re-formulated a used a in a slightly new and different way. Getting great gathers is easy with a few tips, tricks, and special tools. You'll see a variety of ways to gather fabric in the first segment of this show.
In part two Coleen Swettman prepares you for cool weather with her cozy plaid flannel wrap. I love her idea of keeping one in the care for those "just in case" days when it's warm when you leave and cool when you come home.
