It's here! The new It's Sew Easy series, Timeless Techniques for Today's Fashion promises to be one of the best series ever. You'll feel like you have your own personal sewing coach guiding you stitch by stitch as you watch each show. Remember, each segment includes extra instructions you can access when you Join and Login to the show's website. I'll tell you more at the end of this post. Sponsors like Brother International Sewing Machine Company provide everything from "dial and stitch," to top-of-the-line, "sew it all and sew much more" machines for use on the show. This season resident design expert Angela Wolf uses the latest technology to help you create contemporary fashions. A multitude of additional talented instructors help you enhance your sewing skills with a mix of projects appealing to newbies yet challenging enough for seasoned stitchers too! Currently you'll find a few of these episodes "live" online, including the Embroidered Lingerie you see here. Episode 906-1 is a full segment where I show the steps to make machine embroidered lace appliqués. I used a beautiful reproduction pattern from Folkwear® for the vintage style lingerie. This pattern is updated for modern sizes, easy to sew, and perfect for embellishing with machine embroidered appliqués! You'll find lots of helpful information included in the pattern envelope. You can watch this show now along with a few others when you click on the image below. You'll also want to CLICK HERE to download a FREE fabric tip sheet for help with sewing the crepe back satin I used for the lingerie. Are you watching the show in your area? To find your local station you can CLICK HERE. Then, you can search for the show on the station's website. If you don't see it listed call, write, or e-mail and make a request. Did you know you can purchase the whole season to view at your leisure? Visit itsseweasytv.com to order your own personal collection of these episodes plus past series as well. Last but not least, don't forget to Join the site so you can login for access to extra instructions, patterns, and tips featured on various different shows. I had the privilege of taping eight segments for this series. Six of them are devoted to embellishing with machine accessories you may already have in your sewing repertoire. In the coming weeks I'll have lots more information and inspiration to share with you. Stay tuned for more posts full of sewing, learning, and fun for all!
